Last week I had the opportunity to be a personal shopper for one of the coolest chicks I have met so far. I have always had such a strong love for clothes and naturally I love to shop ... so I felt it wasn't such a hard task to fill. I have never been asked to do this before, so I am so honored that she trusted my sense of fashion enough to ask me to help her with her wardrobe. I will start by saying that I am so glad Tammy chose me as her hair stylist because we bonded right away! We always do a great job of being able to have silly or serious conversations together. We have talked many times about her wardrobe wishes, so after getting to know her little by little during her hair appointments I was beginning to get a style in my mind designed just for her. During her last hair appointment we scheduled a day to go shopping together. We started the day by meeting at her beautiful home where I could see for myself the items she already owns. From there I felt like I would know the items she needed to add to her closet. Clothes can be such a fun accessory! It has always been so important to me that clothes ((and of course hair and make up too)) accentuate the uniqueness of a woman's personality. Tammy is a beautiful woman inside and out so I felt it was necessary for me to help her feel beautiful in her clothes! Ya'll, it was SO MUCH FUN! My artsy mind had a task to fill - and that task was to have her go home with pieces I knew would make her wardrobe fabulous! Every single item she bought can be worn MULTIPLE ways. I am so excited for her!! Wish you all could meet her because she is a sweet heart. As a token she gifted me with some of the most DE-LISH tea's and amazing Tupelo honey! It was a very thoughtful gift. (THANK YOU!). Tammy e-mailed me her take of the shopping experience for me to share with you ... so ... here is her story! -
I needed fashion help! I'm a 55 year old woman who has just retired and recently moved to Huntsville. I have work clothes (normally purchased from Talbot's) and Harley clothes (since I ride my own motorcycle), but virtually no stylish casual clothes. Also, being a tomboy growing up, I've never really had any fashion sense. My husband was telling me to 'stop buying old lady clothes and get some help'! I kept my eyes and ears open for someone to miraculous assist me to become more chic. I have found her - Ms. Brittany! She was doing a good job of styling my hair and we seemed to click and in talking to her, she loves fashion and definitely has a sense of style. So we set a date for her to come to my house, look at my current clothes inventory and then set off on our shopping adventure. Short and sweet - Our shopping excursion was fabulous! Brittany picked out clothing pieces for me that I never would have chosen. With arms full of clothing options, into the fitting room we would go and if we both gave the outfit a "thumbs up," I bought it. She gave me so much fashion advice of what to where with what and how to be brave in mixing and matching clothing items. Plus she guided me on stylish jewelry options to go with the outfits. When we returned to my house, we took pictures of all the outfits and now I use the photos as a reference on putting the pieces I bought together. Brittany is a fantastic personal shopper and I intend to use her personal shopping service again! Thank you Ms. Brittany for enabling me to look chic! Peace, love & happiness - Tammy
Tammy - I absolutely loved every minute of our shopping day together! I am SO glad we have met each other! Thank you for trusting me as your stylist! Now go and be fabulous!
