Every Day

Hey guys!
So I thought maybe it would be fun if we started with something that we all love ... make-up! 99% of the time I DO NOT go out of the house without some kinda somem somem on this face! As a stylist it is also mostly habit, only because the majority of the time as I am meeting new people they tend to judge my work by my own appearance. So this chick has gotta be presentable more times than not. Now, let me start off by clarifying I am a firm believer that you usually get what you pay for. If I have the extra money to splurge, I more than likely am going to pay for the better brand. However, one year ago I made a very big move to a new city which meant I was not going to be able to spend the extra on make-up as I had been previously use to! Sometimes a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do! So while I spent my time re-building my clientele I had to find cheaper products to fix this face. We all know I can't be going to work to do some hair with a terrible appearance. No. No. No. So in this new city I have most definitely learned that great products can be found anywhere in all kinds of brands! These products are just a few of my items that I usually incorporate on my day to day basis. But remember, I am a stylist... I change it up every now and again! Cause that's just how we do!

These products were purchased at
Walgreens, CVS, Target, Wal-Mart, or Sephora.
(excluding the MAC)

  • CVS Brand | Nighttime Cleansing Towelettes || love these bad boys. One towelette will take off all of my make-up at the end of the day and the smell is soothing. I usually do a second wipe just beause I am weird like that. I like to feel squeeky clean. The chamomile and white tea really does calm my skin.
  • Clinique | Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel || I usually only use this when I get out of the shower before I get ready for the day.
  • Benefit | The POREfessional || I use this before applying any foundation or BB cream as a primer. It makes my face so smooth and pore-less!
  • Smith's | Rosebud Salve || this stuff is AHH-mazing. It is a nighttime ritual for me to apply it to my lips. I also just use it whenever I am not wearing a gloss or color because I am obsessed. And it's rosebud so it totally makes since for a "Rose" to use any product that is decorated in roses. Right?!
  • Loreal | True Match Lumi || I wear this in the shade N3. I love love love the way it covers and gives my skin a little glow. I just switched from a BB cream to this and I literally can't wait to put it on in the mornings. It takes a little longer to dry but when it does...perfect!
  • Maybelline | Instant Age Rewind | dark circle eraser || I wear this in the shade Fair Clair. I can use it as a highlight as well. This stuff is an absolute must for me because I am such a night owl! The applicator is so soft. Sometimes I usually pair it with the next product...
  • Loreal | Magic Lumi Highlighter || mine is in the shade 862-light. This can be used by itself although it doesn't give me much coverage. When I apply it with my dark circle eraser it gives it a little bit of a brighter look. Yes please!
  • Maybelline | Fit Me! || I have these in two shade to use as a highlight and a contour. The highlight is in the shade 110-porcelain. The contour is in the shade 330-toffee caramel. I only do this on an occasional basis. I actually ran accross a YouTube video of a girl that used this brand for her videos so I just grabbed them on one of my every day trips to Target. Oh my love for Target is another Blog in itself.
  • Cover Girl | loose powder || I use this in the shade 110- translucent light. I usually go for just Translucent with no color, but I was in a hurry so I grabbed this. I use it with a brush to set my under eye concealer. Rarely do I ever set my Lumi with it because I choose not to loose the shimmer it naturally gives me.
  • Milani | Brow Fix Brow Kit || My kit is in the shade 03-dark. I apply it with a different brush that comes in the kit. Same type of brush, just one I already have that fits my hands better.
  • e.l.f. | Eyeshadow || in the shade Enchanted. This stuff is fabulous for what it is worth. LOVE.
  • NARS | Eyeshadow || in the shade Galapagos. I use it the crease of my lid blended out...and also sometimes for a lower liner.
  • e.l.f. | Liquid Eyeliner || in black. I prefer NYX brand but this is just what I threw in the buggy.
  • NARS | Larger Than Life | Long-wear Eyeliner || in the nude / skin tone shade. (It doesn't say on my stick!) I use this on my inner rim of my lower lash line to make my eyes appear bigger. I should use it more than I do but I honestly forget about it when I am in brain fog in the morning. I had a fabulous make-up artist at Bloomy's in NYC give me a "make-over" a few years ago. I had never really gotten into NARS products before until I found the cheek color called "orgasm". I am sure everyone has heard of it. I was obsessed. So on my trip I went to the counter to purchase some more blush and well of course she talked me into all kinds of other stuff. Hey, I was on vacation!
  • Sephora Brand | Bronzing Powder || in the shade Aruba. love the contour it gives. Now most of the time I choose this over the FIT me! because I just prefer a powder than a cream. It just works better for my skin on a daily basis.
  • MAC | Powder Blush || in the shade PEACHTWIST. I have had this shade for EVER. I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to read the shade for you! This stuff lasts forever. And anything MAC is pretty much tha bomb.
  • Wet n Wild | Fergie | Powder Blush || for me it is used as a highlight on a few different places on my face. In the shade A045-Rose Champagne Glow. I was actually on a mission to find a powder highlight I had seen a review on made by Hard Candy. Saw this though....and I'm sure you know why I picked it up. The name of it...duh! Shout out to Hard Candy... I will just have to hit you up on my next trip to Wally World for the one I was orginally going for. Blame it on my ADD.
  • Loreal | Telescopic | Mascara || 935-carbon black. I really love to use this on the base of my lashes to create a thicker lash line.
  • Covergirl | Lash Blast Volume-waterproof | Mascara || in the shade very black. I coat this more than a few times because I am a mascara addict. I have also found that using a combination of different brands of mascaras at a time will make them look a little like falsies. And I love that. Who wouldn't?!
  • Covergirl | Lipstick || in the shade 256-creme. You can never have too many nudes. I picked this up 2 days ago because at CVS it was buy one get one 50% off. Sooo why not?!
  • Revlon | Colorburst Lipgloss || in the shade 042 Bellini. like I stated a minute ago...you can never have too many nudes. You guys should see my collection of lipsgloss/lipsticks. It is a little ridiculous. I will save that for another post!

*while you are out purchasing some of your affordable make-up at Target, you can also snag up that adorable purse! I think it is currently on clearance = winning!!
