Look how beautiful! Now if this doesn't make you smile, I don't know what else I can do for you. I just wanted to share with you someone so sweet and special to me with hopes to put a big smile on your face. I claim this sweet baby as my "niece" - Baylyn! God Love - she is the most precious thing! Her mommy is an angel of a friend to me. They say "if a friendship last longer than 7 years it will last a lifetime". I truly believe Lynn is more than my BFF for life, she is my sister, and I will love that sweet little Baylyn forever as if she is my own!
This past weekend brought us all together by unfortunate circumstances - the passing of a dear sweet friend (and one of Lynn's best friends) Dana. It was because of my friendship with Lynn that Dana was introduced to me. She was always such a joy to be around. I am so thankful for all of the great memories of us all together. Dana and I shared two things in common for certain - our love for Lynn, and our love for Baylyn. It is so hard for me to write this post about her because I feel like there will never be words good enough to talk about what a wonderful soul Dana was. She really was such an honor to know. I feel so blessed to have known her. What she may not have known is how much of a witness she was to me ... but she was, and I am thankful for that. His GRACE shined all through that girl! During her battle with cancer, she continued to stay positive and strong - it was so unbelievable. He used her through her battle to do exactly what He needed her to do.
Which brings me to say ... I have known since day one of our friendship how wonderful Lynn has always been ... not only a great friend to me but also to so many others. She is so easy to love. It hit home for me when we walked into Friday's to meet Dana's parents, her husband Tony, and Tony's sisters for dinner. It made my heart feel so warm to see all of the love everyone shared, and the love Dana's parents have for Lynn. I have no doubt Dana loved Lynn just as much as I do. I am grateful that during my visit we were given the opportunity for us to all get together to celebrate Dana's life, which I feel like is exactly what Dana would have wanted us to do.
I wish we could all stay here forever, but I know we have a better home waiting for us ... and I know we will all be reunited again.
-wanted to also share with you just a few of Dana's awesome Facebook posts -
-November 9, 2012- There will be a day with no more tears, no more pain, no more fears.
-April 23, 2013- Celebrate your life today. Be thankful for what you have don't pity yourself or envy others. There will ALWAYS be someone who is better off than you and worse off than you, whether it is beauty, wealth, or health. Love others and appreciate yourself.
-May 18, 2014 - This is exactly what God is doing with me, there is nothing that you have done that God can not deliver you from. Acknowledge the past, that God may heal and comfort you so you can heal and comfort someone else. What we think are our greatest failures, God will redeem you, heal you, and graciously bless you so you can leverage your past.
2 Corinthians 1:4 - Who Comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
-July 6, 2014 - I keep telling myself it's only temporary...God let your grace shine through me.
-July 9th, 2014 - Ready for another amazing day! (with a picture that says) it has been a beautiful fight. still is.
Mark 5:34 He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you.
Go in peace and be freed from your suffering."
Life is too short ... that is for certain. We are not to take one single minute for granted. It is a beautiful ride. If you will pay close attention you can find Heavenly things every single day here on Earth. After all - God is the creator of ALL THINGS ... just open your eyes!
